Bringing Holiday Cheer to Homebound Seniors

During the holiday season, many seniors are lonely and have no families to visit them. To brighten up the holiday season of seniors, Gayle Lacy, Chairman of this project, came up with the idea of donating bags of filled with holiday cheer to homebound seniors. WCO members collected self-care products consisting of delicious smelling lotions, soaps, cozy socks, shaving creams and cute little knick knacks. Ysella Sharp donated homemade pins, scarves and candy. Rose Teding bought all the bags and other miscellaneous items and Valerie Pemberton also contributed gift items as well. Thank you Gayle Lacy for spearheading this project and making it possible to bring holiday cheer to lonely senior individuals at Brookdale Oceanside and Brookdale Carlsbad.
